Tanzinstallation
In dieser Performance mit Tanz, Texten und Video folgt das Publikum den Tänzern zu drei Stationen, erst innerhalb des Hafenspeichers, dann nach draußen ans Wasser.
Mary Frankenstein ist eine künstlerische Auseinandersetzung mit den vielschichtigen und widersprüchlichen Facetten des Menschlichen und Monströsen. Die Choreographin hinterfragt dabei unsere Konzepte von Normalität und Ordnung, von Menschlichkeit und Menschsein sowie unseren Umgang mit dem Verdrängten und Fremden in uns und unserer Gesellschaft.

Mónica García Vicente
… studierte Tanz am Real Conservatorio de Danza in Madrid und an der École-Atelier Rudra Béjart Lausanne. Als Tänzerin war sie u. a. Mitglied der Company Victor Ullate, des Aterballetto unter Mauro Bigonzetti sowie am Landestheater Linz und der Staatsoper Hannover unter Jörg Mannes. Sie trat als Solistin in Choreographien von Maurice Béjart, William Forsythe, Hans van Manen, Johan Inger, u.v.m. auf. In ihren choreographischen Werken verwendet sie neben Tanz auch Literatur, Malerei und Schauspiel. Ihre Soloarbeit „Mar adentro“ wurde mit dem 1.2.3.Soli Lyon-Award ausgezeichnet und zu vielen internationalen Festivals eingeladen.

Dance installation
This performance includes dance, text and video. The audience will follow the dancers to three different sites, first inside the Hafenspeicher and later outside at the waterfront.
Mary Frankenstein is an artistic exploration of the complex and contradictory facets of what is considered human and monstrous. The choreographer questions our concepts of normality and order, of humanity and being human, as well as how we deal with what is repressed and alien in us and in our society.

Mónica García Vicente
… studied dance at the Real Conservatorio de Danza in Madrid and at the École-Atelier Rudra Béjart in Lausanne. As a dancer she was a member of the Company Victor Ullate, the Aterballetto under Mauro Bigonzetti at the Landestheater Linz and the Staatsoper Hannover under Jörg Mannes. She performed as a soloist in choreographies by Maurice Béjart, William Forsythe, Hans van Manen, Johan Inger and many more. In her choreographic works, she includes not only dance but also literature, painting and acting. Her solo work “Mar adentro” got invited to numerous international festivals and was awarded the 1.2.3.Soli Lyon-Award.
