Modern Dance

Das Ziel dieses Workshops ist, einige Prinzipien und Ideen der modernen Tanztechnik zu erforschen, um diese dann auf andere Tanzstile anwenden zu können. Der Unterricht konzentriert sich auf die Wirbelsäule, Gewichtsübertragungen und Bewegungsqualität. Am Ende wird eine kurze Choreographie gelehrt.

Offen für alle Altersstufen mit Vorkenntnissen in jeglichen Tanzstil.

Giorgia Bovo
… ursprünglich aus Italien, ehemalige New Yorkerin und derzeitige Berlinerin. In NY tanzte sie mit Armitage Gone! Dance, The Metropolitan Opera, Pigeonwing Dance, Indelible Dance und Francesca Harper Project. Derzeit tanzt sie an der Deutschen Oper Berlin und arbeitet mit dem Regisseur Ersan Mondtag, dem Theaterkollektiv PKRK und der Installationskünstlerin Alida Sun. Sie choreografierte für Indelible Dance, die Joffrey Ballet School, die mit dem Grammy Award ausgezeichnete Band Pentatonix, das e-Luminate Festival (UK). Ihre Tanzfilmarbeit wurde von Dis-Tanz-Solo unterstützt und auf internationalen Festivals gezeigt. Giorgia ist ABT® Certified Teacher (ABT® National Training Curriculum). Lehraufträge: Marameo, Deutsche Oper, Center of Dance, 4fT, Peridance, NYC Community Ballet und Company Class bei Cherylyn Lavagnino Dance und Rebecca Kelly Ballet. Sie wurde an der Scuola del Balletto di Toscana ausgebildet.

Modern Dance

The goal of this workshop is to explore some tools of the modern dance technique that can be applied to other dance styles. The class will focus on the use of the spine, weight transferring and movement quality. A short choreography will be taught at the end.

Open to all ages with some knowledge of any dance style.

Giorgia Bovo
… originally from Italy, former New Yorker and current Berlin resident. In NY, she danced with Armitage Gone! Dance, The Metropolitan Opera, Pigeonwing Dance, Indelible Dance and Francesca Harper Project. She currently dances at Deutsche Oper Berlin and works with director Ersan Mondtag, theater collective PKRK and installation artist Alida Sun. Her dance film work was supported by Dis-Tanz-Solo and was screened at international festivals. Giorgia is an ABT® Certified Teacher (ABT® National Training Curriculum).
